Welcome to the Evangelism Ministry!

Proclaiming the Good News

At the heart of the Christian faith lies a divine mandate: to preach the gospel to all creation, calling the lost to repentance and a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Evangelism is not just an activity; it is the heartbeat of our faith and the fulfillment of the Great Commission given by Jesus:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20).

A Monthly Call to Action

At Shining Light Kingdom Builders Church, we dedicate one day every month to fulfilling this commission through our Monthly Evangelism Outreach. On this day, we take the gospel beyond the walls of the church, stepping into communities to share the message of hope, love, and salvation in Christ.

Our mission is to reach those who are lost, broken, and searching for purpose, proclaiming the Good News that Jesus Christ came to save sinners and offer eternal life.

What Happens During the Outreach?

The Monthly Evangelism Outreach is a spirit-filled and impactful event designed to reach people where they are, both physically and spiritually. Activities during the outreach include:

  1. Preaching the Gospel:
The message of salvation is proclaimed boldly, calling individuals to repentance and faith in Christ. We share the truth about God’s love, the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, and the hope of eternal life.

  2. Personal Encounters:
Our evangelism team engages with people one-on-one, answering their questions, addressing their doubts, and guiding them toward a personal decision to follow Jesus.

  3. Intercession and Prayer:
We pray for individuals, families, and the community as a whole, asking God to soften hearts, heal brokenness, and draw people to Himself. Special prayers are offered for those struggling with addictions, sickness, or other life challenges.

  4. Distribution of Gospel Materials:
To ensure the message continues to resonate, we distribute Bibles, tracts, and other faith-based materials, giving people tools to grow in their new faith or explore the message of salvation further.

  5. Invitation to Fellowship:
Those who accept Christ are warmly invited to join the fellowship of believers, where they can be discipled, nurtured, and strengthened in their faith journey.

The Heart of Evangelism

Evangelism is not just about preaching; it is an act of love. It is about recognizing the worth of every soul and God’s desire for all to come to repentance. Scripture reminds us:

“The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

Through our outreach, we aim to reflect God’s heart of compassion, showing people that they are seen, valued, and loved by the Creator.

The Power of the Gospel

The gospel carries transformative power. It is the message of hope for the hopeless, peace for the troubled, and life for the dying. Paul declares in Romans 1:16:

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”

Each month, we witness this power at work as lives are transformed, hearts are renewed, and individuals find purpose in Christ.

Join the Mission

The Monthly Evangelism Outreach is more than an event; it is a movement to bring the lost into the light of Christ. As a church, we invite every member to participate in this mission, whether by joining the outreach team, interceding in prayer, or supporting the effort in other ways.

Together, we are sowing seeds of faith, planting hope, and bringing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to the world—one soul at a time.

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” (Romans 10:14).

Let us go forth every month, faithful to the call, and watch God work wonders through the power of His Word and Spirit.

First, we must understand church is not a building, a Sunday school class, or a service time. According to scripture, a church gathering is a group of people coming together in Christ and the people are the church. Jesus shows us in Matthew 18 that a gathering can be as little as two people together.

The service usually involves the singing of hymns, reading of scripture verses and possibly a psalm. If the church follows a lectionary, the sermon will often be about the scripture lections assigned to that day. Eucharistic churches have usually Holy Communion either every Sunday or several Sundays a month.

There are no rules as to what to bring to church, other than your self, an open heart and mind. Some bring a bible, if you’re going to engage in bible study.

If you want to know how to dress for church, something modest and comfortable should be fine. Generally, graphic tees that show off sports team logos or bands should never be worn to church. Solid-colored tops are fine, and even something with a pattern should be OK to wear.

Ask your friends if they have a place to worship the Savior and invite them to come worship with you, especially at times like Christmas and Easter. If they aren’t Christians, ask them if they’d like to learn more about Jesus Christ and invite them to experience a Christian worship service with you. Remember to show the same respect for their beliefs that you hope they will give yours.

There are many questions Christians are asked that the individual Christian is unable to answer. It happens all the time.
